FINDING SEEDING SOLUTIONS AROUND THE WORLD
Turbo Turf Hydro Seeding Systems are used around the world. Turbo
Technologies is happy to try to help our customers solve their problems
and to make their projects successful and cost effective, to make
the world a little more green and a little more beautiful.
Turbo
Turbo Turf Hydro Seeding Systems are manufactured in a range of sizes from
50 gallons to 2000 gallons. There is a unit that is ideal for
most any job. Here, one of a pair of HS-1000-ZX units are working to build
La Vista Golf Club in Pueblo Mexico. This is an 18 Hole golf
course being built by the Mexican division of Paragon
Construction. La Vista is at 6000 feet above sea level. Turbo
Technologies supplied the machines and the hydro seeding supplies.
They were able to seed at a rate of about 20 acres a day.
Here is one of a pair of HS-750-XPW units purchased by the University of
the Virgin Islands in conjunction with the USDA Natural Resources
Conservation Service and others. A seminar was conducted on St
Thomas and St Croix island and 65 local landscapers and other interested
people were trained in the
operation. The University has created a web site with more
information on this project. Click the hyperlink If you want to read
more . Seeding has been done on the islands using common
Bermuda grass, Bahai, Buffel grass, Old World T587 hurricane grass and rye
grass. In the time since a number of Virgin Island landscapers have
purchased Turbo Turf Hydro Seeding Systems for their own use. This
project has also been featured in articles in Land and Water magazine.
In the
middle of the mulch is a Turbo Turf HS-1000-ZX on it's
way to San Salvador Island in the Bahamas for a 200 acre runway
expansion project. Turbo Technologies supplied the unit, seed, hydro
seeding mulch, tackifer, fertilizer and co-polymer for this project.
Here are some photos taken during a dealer meeting held by
Attica of Barcelona. Atica invited dealers from all over
Spain and Portugal to the
meeting. It lasted two days and was held at a beautiful mountain top
resort near Barcelona. Ray Badger attended on behalf of Turbo
Technologies, Inc. The first day consisted of indoor meetings where
new products were presented. During the second day in
addition to the dealers,
officials from the parks, cities and golf courses in the region were also
in attendance. In the photo on the left is Jose Fernandez and his
son Juan. They are standing in front of an HS-300-XPW on
display. The photo above and on the right is
the dealer meeting in progress and the photo below on the right is
everyone getting ready to see a Turbo Turf Hydro Seeing unit in action.
There was a great deal of interest in hydro seeding among the group.
Carl Crome , Managing director of Amenity Technology and
his
co-worker
Roy Kates recently visited our office. They are our distributor in
the UK and Scandinavian countries. They have had great success
with Turbo Turf units particularly in the golf course and private club
market.
Turbo
Technologies Inc., is represented in China by the Clover Seed
Company. In the
photo on the left we are doing a demonstration for a delegation from
China. On the right is Mr Yu, With him is Ray Badger, president of Turbo
Technologies, and loading the unit is Rob Badger. The other
photo is of a seeding project in China. Here are a series of photo's
showing some of the great results that can be
accomplished with hydro seeding. These photo's are taken in
Japan. The units that was used for these jobs was a Turbo Turf
HS-500-ZX. The first job that we are showing is
wildflowers along a street. This job was done with a very heavy
application of Jet Spray Mulch. The material was applied at 3000 pounds
to the acre. Jet Spray has become very popular because of the ease
of loading. Jet Spray is pelletized and can simply be poured right
into the machine. Loading time is measured in
seconds. One big advantage of jet spray
that we don't talk about as often as we should is that Jet Spray resists
crusting. If a paper mulch is put on too heavily it can form a
paper mache crust that the seed has difficulty penetrating. With Jet
Spray that is much less likely to happen. The jobs in the photo also
had a heavy application of Tacking Agent 3 and included locking fibers in
the mix for maximum holding power. The mix as it was used here
offers really outstanding holding power and moisture retention.
Here are some photo's taken during a visit from Mr Stassen of
Greenland SPRL and his
family from Hannut,
Belgium. There is a new "TGV" high speed under
construction. The "TGV" trains travel at 130 miles per hour.
Among Mr. Stassen's projects is the contract to seed along the construction
area. He has purchased an HS-1000-ZX with a Diesel Engine for the
project.
Here is a photo of
Turbo Turf at the TEM/TECMA trade show in Madrid, Spain. This show is
oriented to Municipalities and Maintenance professionals. Turbo
Turf is being displayed by Atica who is our distributor in Spain and
Portugal. Turbo Technologies is always
interested in helping seeding
contractors throughout the world learn the wonderful advantages of hydro
seeding. Turbo Turf has displayed their units at Saltex show in
England. One of Turbo Turf's leading distributors in England
also does hydro seeding. His specialty is a little unique. In
many places golf courses will hydro seed everything but the
greens. David Smart, specializes in hydro seeding
greens. He has a special pre-germination system, and is able to have
bent grass up in 3 days. David uses an HS-50 and an HS-500-E in his
business. See top menu to
