HS-300-ZX
HYDRO SEEDING SYSTEMS
The HS-300-ZX, is a 300 Gallon, skid type hydroseeding
system. It will seed 4000 square feet per load. It is equipped
with an 27 H. P. Kohler Command Pro engine (for a 24 H.P Honda
add $ 250) that is directly coupled to a 4" X 4", 740 G. P. M.
high volume centrifugal pump that produces 87 P.S.I. The unit
comes with 100' of 1 1/2" discharge hose, gun and 5 nozzles ( 1
wide hydroseeding nozzle, 1 50 degree nozzle, 1 15 degree
nozzle, 1 straight distance nozzle, and 1 trim nozzle). The
empty weight of the unit is 805 pounds. the loaded weight is
3200 pounds. the physical dimensions are 60"W x 104"L x 55"H.
The size of the skid frame on this unit is 60"W x 100"L. This
unit will fit in the back of a 3/4 ton or 1 ton pickup. It can
also be easily operated from a trailer.
The
HS-300-ZX is a high performance, commercial grade unit. It
features rapid mixing and spraying. Jets are 2" I.D. and equipped with quick disconnects
to make service easier in the unlikely event of a problem. A
quick disconnect is also provided to the discharge hose.
The unit comes standard with a 27 H.P. Kohler Command Pro engine
(Honda 24 H.P. Available for an additional $ 250), a 4" x 4"
centrifugal pump directly coupled to the engine shaft with an
operating pressure of 87 PSI and a maximum flow of 440 G.P.M.
a bale buster to help break up materials, quick coupled 6.5
Gallon fuel tank, fork slots in the front of the frame for easy
loading. The unit comes standard with 100' of 1 1/2" hose,
gun and 5 nozzles.
The unit will accommodate from 80-140 pounds of hydro seeding
mulch. Materials that may be used are pourable mulches,
paper mulches, 50-50 wood paper blends, 70-30 wood paper blends
and Envirotrol BFM's
The HS-300-ZX is ideal for a landscaper doing residential and
commercial seeding with average jobs of 5,000 to 20,000 square
feet. It is capable of handling much larger jobs, when hydroseeding larger jobs a seeding rate of up to 2-3 acres per
day is possible with a good water source. Material is applied at
approximately 60 G.P.M. Time to spray a complete tank is about 5
minutes. Mixing time is 1-20 minutes depending on material. This
unit comes with 100' of 1 1/2" discharge hose. It will handle an extra
200' of hose. The spray distance with the straight nozzle is
approximately 80'. The spray distance with an Area/Volume kit
(2" cannon) is 110'.
Typically materials used in one load would be 80-140 pounds of hydro seeding mulch, the appropriate amount of seed for
4,000 sq. ft. (any seed will work in hydroseeding), and the
appropriate fertilizer for 4000 square feet (liquid, water
soluble, or granular).
The HS-300-ZX has a custom molded tank with a bale
hopper for easy loading. It has two openings for quick
loading. There is one 16" hinged lid for adding mulch and a second lid (12") which allows a
second person to be adding seed or fertilizer or to allow a
fill hose to be out of the way of the operator.
Like all TURBO TURF systems the HS-300-ZX, comes equipped
with a long life poly tank that can never rust, the ability to
mix partial loads, a simple but powerful design with few moving
parts, continuous agitation, and the ability to control the flow
at the gun without making adjustments at the unit. Prices quoted
