TURBO TURF "HARV"
HM-500-HARV
HYDRO SEEDING
SYSTEM

The HM-500-HARV is the most advanced hydro seeding system on
the market today. The HARV is ideal for those with very
demanding applications. The aggressive paddle
mixing system allows for mixing the heaviest slurries possible.
The positive displacement Bowie gear pump will allow pumping
through up to 400 feet of hose. The unit is capable
of handling heavy slurries of the most demanding products
including 100% wood mulches, BFM's FGM's and other hard to
spray erosion control mixes. It is also capable of
spraying plant parts such as sprigs.
When we designed the HARV we took the best features of other
machines and used that as a starting point. We then added
features no one else has. The unit is powered
by a 25 H.P. Kohler command pro engine coupled to a two stage
hydraulic pump. The paddles are hydraulically driven
and they can be reversed should a bale of mulch become jammed in
the mixing paddles. The speed can also be
hydraulically controlled. The Bowie gear pump is
also hydraulically driven and can also be reversed.
The HARV comes standard with 100' of 1 1/2" hose with free
flow couplings mounted on an electric rewind hose reel.
It comes standard with a 50 gallon flush tank plumbed in a very
unique way. The flush tank is plumped to BOTH sides
of the pump with a valve on each line. This unique
feature offers several important advantages.
If you should ever get a clog in the suction line you can
reverse the pump and use the flush tank line running to the
front side of the pump to blow the clog free. You
can also flow water back in the tank and then reverse the pump
to completely clean the unit with the flush tank.
The HARV has a full sized platform as standard equipment.
It means you can carry more supplies to the jobsite.
The turret gun has multiple mounting positions and can be easily
moved from front to back or to either side. No one
else offers this feature. It is available as both a
skid type and a pull type system. It will seed 6600 square feet
per load.
Of course one of the major advantages is the poly tank.
Rust is never a concern. Clean up is fast and easy.
There is no concern about using fertilizer in the mix.
The nitrogen in fertilizer is highly corrosive and many with
metal tank units avoid using it. The corners of the molded
tank are rounded and do not collect material like the square
corners on metal tank units where the end meets the side panels.

- Platform and exclusive multi position gun standard
Do large areas faster Carry more supplies,
- Hydraulically powered positive displacement gear pump lets
you use more hose than other units.
- Hydraulically powered paddle agitation, control both speed
and direction hydraulically.
- 50 Gallon Flush tank. Clean up at the end of the day
in two minutes.
- The HARV can self unplug most suction line clogs, an
exclusive feature of HARV
- Run a little short to finish a job. Water from the
flush tank can be used for a mini load.
- HARV is the best unit for those who need to use BFM's,
FGM's or other tough products.
The HARV will handle up to 300 pounds of paper mulch
and up to 220 pounds of 100% virgin wood fiber mulch It
will pump through up to 500' of hose. It is capable of
self filling from a pond or a stream with the optional fill
hose. Mixing is mechanical with an aggressive 16
paddle agitator. A major advantage of the unit is the poly
tank. Poly tanks are totally rust resistant.
One of the major problems with mechanical hydroseeding units or
hydro mulching units is their susceptibility to rust. Even
with a stainless steel tank rust is an issue and will start in
the welds.
The HM-500-HARV
comes with 100' of 1 1/2" discharge hose with free flow
couplings, a gun and three nozzles
( 1 wide hydro seeding nozzle, 1 straight distance nozzle, and 1
trim nozzle), The empty weight of the unit is 2500 pounds. the
loaded weight is 6500 pounds. the physical dimensions are 58"W x
120"L x 96"H. The size of the skid frame on this unit is
55"W x
120"L.
The
HM-500-HARV is ideal for a landscaper doing residential and
commercial seeding, roadside work, erosion control work, and any
hydroseeding job Full bales can be loaded into the units.
Mixing time is 2 - 20 minutes. Discharge distance with the
straight nozzle is approximately 80'. The spray distance with an
Area/Volume kit or the 2" cannon) is 120'.
